I am an Irish Association of Creative Arts Therapists (IACAT) registered Art Psychotherapist with over 10 years' experience supporting children, young people, families and school communities. I have worked in mainstream and specialist educational settings, providing individual therapy, group work, consultation, supervision and safeguarding support.

My approach is creative, collaborative and trauma-informed. I work in a client-led way, recognising that each person brings their own unique experiences, strengths and needs. I aim to create a space where people feel safe to explore difficult experiences, develop greater self-understanding and build on their existing strengths and resilience.

About me

Alongside my therapeutic work, I have experience supervising therapists and other professionals working with children and young people, with particular interests in safeguarding, attachment, trauma-informed practice and the use of creativity within therapy and supervision.

I am passionate about supporting not only individuals, but also the wider communities around them. Alongside therapy and supervision, I regularly deliver workshops for school staff, students, parents and carers. These sessions provide opportunities to develop understanding, build confidence and strengthen the support networks around children and young people.

My work is informed by psychodynamic thinking, which means I am interested in how past experiences, relationships and unconscious patterns can influence how we feel, think and relate to others in the present. Through therapy, we can develop a deeper understanding of these experiences and explore new ways of moving forward.

I integrate a range of therapeutic approaches where helpful, including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) informed skills, play and other creative techniques and body-based grounding strategies, adapting my approach to best meet each person's needs.

I support people with a wide range of experiences, including:

Low mood and depression

Self-esteem and confidence
